Wanted: Students to help run a new technology help desk called the Student Technology Assistance Team – “STAT” team. This will be a student led and run help desk located in the media center using a “crash cart” as the help desk station. Great work experience! Contact Mr. Lynch if you would like to learn more. This will be counted as an internship experience for E3 STEM students.
Uponor Internship for E3 STEM student who is 18+ years old. 2-8 hours/week. Unpaid internship but you would gain really valuable work experience at a great company. Children’s Hospital Observer Program – Observe Children’s staff in order to learn more about their field and fulfill personal career exploration objectives. Must be 16 and have finished junior year.
Children’s Healthcare Information Sessions – These seminars provide interactive learning opportunities designed to help individuals learn about specific health care fields, including educational requirements,day-to-day activities, etc.
Scrub, Gloves and Microscopes – 3-4 hour UMN program
Mayo Career Awareness – Career awareness site for high school students.
Fairview Ridges Junior volunteers are between the ages 14-18 and attend high school. Most junior volunteers serve 4-hour shifts on the evenings or weekends. The Junior volunteer program is extremely competitive, thus not all students who apply and interview will be accepted.

DigiGirlz Event – During the event, students interact with Microsoft employees and managers to gain exposure to careers in business and technology and to get an inside look at what it’s like to work at Microsoft. This exciting event provides girls with career planning assistance, information about technology and business roles, thought-provoking exercises, and interesting Microsoft product demonstrations. By participating in the Microsoft DigiGirlz Day, young women can find out about the variety of opportunities available in the high-tech industry and can explore future career paths. FREE.
