University of Rochester High School Awards Program: Each year, participating high schools may nominate up to four qualified students, one student for each award. All nominees will have their application fee waived and will be eligible to be considered for merit scholarships worth at least $10,000 per year.
Participation in these programs is open to all secondary schools. The final deadline for nominations to be submitted is June 15, 2017. For awards to be delivered in time for April awards ceremonies, we recommend nominations be received by March 15, 2017. All award packets will be mailed directly to the award nominator at their high school. Please allow at least two weeks between the date of nomination and delivery to your school. Sports and Orthopaedic Specialists is proud to continue its effort to advance sports medicine and orthopaedic care throughout Minnesota with the 10th Annual Minnesota Athletes in Sports Medicine scholarship for student athletes. We are excited to continue offering this award as exemplification of our commitment to provide unsurpassed patient care and community education.
Sports & Orthopaedic Specialists in partnership with Allina Health. This $2,500 scholarship will be awarded annually to one male student athlete who intends to attend college to pursue a career in sports medicine.
Women’s Orthopaedic Center in partnership with Allina Health. The Women’s Orthopaedic Center is one of the only centers in the nation to focus exclusively on women’s unique musculoskeletal injuries. This $2,500 scholarship will be awarded annually to one female student athlete who intends to pursue a career in sports medicine.
It is our intent to announce the recipients of each scholarship by June 30, 2017.

Ann Bancroft Foundation Dare to Dream Grant: Fund Art, Cultural, Leadership, Educational, & Outdoors/Wilderness Experiences for girls in grades 4 through 12, allowing them to begin exploring the outside world and begin recognizing their own abilities, values and strengths in the process.
