TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
2019 High School Graduate
Acceptance letter from college for fall 2019
Passing grade in AP Java or AP Computer Science class
Participant in District 196 E3 STEM Program
Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field -Familiarity with the following: Linux/UNIX C/C++ Java Scripting languages (PERL, C#) – Interpersonal Skills
Excellent written/verbal skills
ERIK’S is excited to open our Junior Apprentice Program for teens & high school students for the fourth year. Through ERIK’S Junior Apprentice Program, students will gain the skills and expertise needed to become a bicycle mechanic.
Upon program completion, successful graduates may be eligible for additional training & part-time employment as a Service Technician at any ERIK’S locations.
Details of the Program: The Jr. Apprentice Program is available at all ERIK’S locations.
This program is designed for bicycle mechanics.
Winter season training program for teens age 15-18, currently enrolled in a High School within 10 miles of an Erik’s retail location.
Teens will need to apply for the program online.
Approved applicants will then go through a short interview process for final selection into the program.
Program runs December – January Annually.
Applications will be accepted from October 1-31.
Training will be hands on and overseen by our Service Managers.
Teens that successfully complete the program may be offered employment with ERIK’S.
